It’s a long time for a toddler to wait knowing they have a baby brother or sister coming! This little one was full of excitement at their session anticipating the arrival of a baby for her to play with and love! She was just so amazing at the session as you can see in the images, loving on mama and baby in her belly. We captured some beautiful moments to remember this time that goes by so quickly really, even though it might not seem like it during!
We had just had a beautiful snow fall that we were able to get out and enjoy as well as set up the studio to capture some gorgeous photos of mom. Overall, it was a perfect session to capture these memories and the excitement that went along with it!
I had the privilege to meet this family for the little girls first birthday cake smash a couple of years ago when I first opened my studio! Even then, she did so well at her session, it was what both mom and I had hoped! She loved her cake and the camera! Now it is just such an honour to be asked to capture this time expecting their second child!
A little while ago, I posted on facebook and instagram where I would gift a few families with a newborn session. Families who wouldn’t otherwise have newborn photos taken. It received such an amazing response and I am so excited to meet the new families I will be photographing in April and May, having already photographed one earlier in March. As I continue to grow in my craft, I realize that change is constant both in life and in business. I feel the change that is happening this year in my business is to focus more on maternity, newborn, cake smashes, mini sessions and of course, families. To celebrate that, I am so happy to have teamed up with a few local creators to gift anyone who books their newborn session with me this year with a box of goodies from them! I have included a wooden teething ring from Butterfly Stitches, a gorgeous crocheted pouch with Happy Bum powder and Happy Bum salve from Cotton & Clary as well as some Second and Third Trimester Tea, made by Wild Yarrow Medicinals, provided to me by Tree de la Vie Midwifery. I encourage anyone who is expecting to send me an email or a message to inquire about newborn photography, stop by so we can chat about capturing this special time that just goes by so so fast. Invest in your memories.
