This past fall I had the honour of photographing a few weddings. After deciding to take time off of photographing summer weddings to be home and present with my children, the opportunity in the fall to experience the love that is committed allows me to fully be a witness. It is a new fresh eye to see and experience such an incredible day that so much planning and organizing went into. I am excited to get back after the rest in the summer months and capture this day for couples to remember and share forever.
Not a detail was missed from this day. Everything was perfect, perfectly planned and executed. From the time the girls had together in the morning, laughing and sharing, reminiscing and tearing up to the first time her dad saw her was unforgettable. The time the men had together, the laughs and comments, the proud parent moments. Even the weather held back the rain for the day to allow for a beautiful ceremony overlooking the lake. Photos with the bride, groom and their bridal party is always fun! Shooting this part of the day at Sir Winston Churchill Provincial Park, always allows for the most amazing backdrop, with such variety. We are so blessed to have this serenity right in our backyard! Not to mention the reception, with the rustic, yet elegant feel to the decor. Never have I seen a wedding cake with such detail and realism to it! Made by Bradie Bakes, this cake was amazing! So much local talent!
A shout out to my amazing second shooter, Connie Newhook! She really is so gifted at what she does, which is actually a specialization in newborn photography! I was so thankful for her help, stepping out of her comfort zone to photograph this wedding with me! I’ll be forcing her out of that comfort more often, she is a natural at all photography! Check out her work at Connie Leslie Photography!
Well, now just to wait for the opportunity to photograph the adorable little people this couple has… hopefully soon. 😉
