This is exactly what mom said when she came to me with the idea for her baby girls first birthday cake smash session! Winter wOnederland! So great, right? Winter baby equals winter themed cake smash which turned out amazing! Again, not knowing what her reaction was going to be, but hoping for diving in and all smiles, she really wasn’t sure what to think! So, curiously, she sunk her hands right in, but wasn’t really into eating it! See, when we think babies would automatically put everything in their mouths, they prove us wrong! She definitely did taste it, but totally preferred to play in her cake and was more than willing to share with me! Raising her icing filled hands to me throughout the smash! It was adorable, and I’m not gonna lie, I was tempted to just have a little taste off her fingers! It looked too good, but of course, all of Kayleen’s cakes do!
I was happy to meet this beautiful family who had literally just moved to town last year expecting their second baby. Their newborn session took place in their house, allowing me to get to know them in their own space! Again, I love the blessing of being able to photograph families over again, watching them grow and change is amazing and something I cherish dearly about my job! It’s hard moving to a new town meeting people, getting involved and feeling like a part of the community, but I can happily say that our community is so great for involving families and putting on events to get people out to enjoy! Lac La Biche County has a great many programs for all ages, that come highly recommended, you can get in touch with FCSS, to find out all the programs they offer! Also the Stuart MacPherson Library is always putting on events and offer programs throughout the county!
